Dick Flagg was there, and was star of the show with his wonderful presentation about studying Jupiter at decametric wavelengths. Dick's warm smile and helpful nature made many us of even bigger fans than we already were.

This Bruce Randall. He knows more about electronics than most of us have forgotten...no thats not right.... He has forgotten more than we know.. No well, anyway he's a smart guy and listening to him has greatly improved the way I build things.

Chuck Forster, past SARA president, SARA receiver project coordinator, and a persistant force behind the organization.  Chuck devotes a huge amount of time (and money) to SARA. We all owe him our gratitude.

What can you say about Jim Carroll that would do justice to his intelligence or kindness.  He can design and build anything electronic.  Every year we swarm around his radio masterpieces like flies on butter.  You can see him on the pulsars page with an antenna sprouting out from his head.

Chris Brown has for the past couple of years been tackling the problem of imaging in radio astronomy.  You can see his handiwork on our FTP site with his RADIOX files.  He's working towards two dimensional images and we next year to find out what he has come up with.

This is Kim Hay, a lab technician who came all the way from Canada to see the hubub. Tom Crowley is behind Kim. I apologize for the poor picture of Tom. Tom is a past SARA president and active in Jupiter work.

Mike Gingell is our new president. He will take the stage at the '99 conference. Mike is has his own web page, and you can go there to find out more about this great guy.

Last but not least is Jeff Lichtmann, SARA's founder and continued source of inspiration. This is a terrible picture of Jeff. He is usually smiling and hugging folks and making you feel like you are somebody important. Jeff runs the only amateur radio astronomy supply company around where you can actually buy a radiotelescope.
