This clock displays your local sidereal time to within a few seconds,
(more than adequate accuracy for amateur radio astronomical observations).
In order for it to work correctly you must enter your longitude in decimal
degrees and your timezone in hours. If you enter a west longitude it should
be preceeded by a minus sign (-). Your time zone is how many hours your
local clock differs from Universal Coordinated Time or GMT. For those of
us in the western hemisphere, our local clocks lag GMT and so you need
to preceed the timezone with a minus (-) sign. Accuracy is also affected by how accurately your computers clock is set.
You should only have to enter these values once as this page
will save your values as cookies. Of course, if you don't allow cookies, that feature will not
work.
